Stagecoach Launches Direct Bus Service Between St Andrews and Edinburgh Airport

Stagecoach has announced a new bus service directly connecting St Andrews to Edinburgh Airport. The move will significantly improve travel for students, tourists, and commuters. Starting on 5 May, the service will run daily, approximately every two hours, and terminate just outside the Airport's terminal building. The full journey time is estimated to be 90 minutes.
Unlike other Stagecoach buses, the new service will use the Megabus model, allowing for extra luggage storage and an increased seating capacity, providing more comfort for passengers.
One first-year student welcomed the service’s introduction: “As someone who came to a university in the UK for travel opportunities, the direct bus service gives opportunity for international exploration, saving both money and time, as well as being somewhat more environmentally friendly.”
Sarah Elliott, Commercial Director for Stagecoach East Scotland stated that she was “thrilled to introduce this new bus service”. “The new route will make travel between St Andrews and Edinburgh Airport easier, faster, and more affordable. It’s a win for local residents, students, and visitors alike, providing a stress-free option for airport access,” she added.
