Police Appeal for Missing St Andrews Man
Fife Police are appealing for help to trace 74-year-old Paul Jouhnson who has been reported missing in St Andrews.
Mr Johnson was last seen at approximately 10pm on Wednesday 15 September at his home address in the Hay Fleming Avenue area of the town.
He is described as 5’9” with a slim build and grey hair. He was last known to be wearing a blue rain jacket and light coloured walking trousers.
Fife Police have stated that it is believed that Mr Johnson left his home to go for a walk but failed to return.
Officers have been carrying out searches in the St Andrews area with assistance from the Police Scotland Air Support Unit.
Inspector Murray Gibson stated: “It is completely out of character for Paul to be out of contact with family for as long as this and we are growing increasingly concerned about his well-being as time passes”.
A public group on Facebook called “Search for Paul” is currently coordinating the efforts to reunite Mr Johnson with him family and ensure his safety.
Anyone who believes that they may have seen Mr Johnson or has information which could help trace him is asked to call 101, quoting incident 0266 of 16 September.
