The University of St Andrews has been named top University in Scotland, according to The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, which was published 18 September 2020. The University was third best in the UK, behind Oxford and Cambridge.
The University of St Andrews is the top University in Scotland, in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, which was published 18 September 2020. First place for overall student experience, the University was marked highly in teaching quality, graduate prospects, and completion rate.
The University of Glasgow and The University of Edinburgh ranked second and third place respectively, and Robert Gordon University was awarded Scottish University of the Year.
The University of St Andrews came third-best in the UK, behind Oxford and Cambridge, according to the new guide. Closing the gap behind Oxbridge to the narrowest it has ever been.
This comes as the University was recently awarded second place in the Guardian University Guide 2021 for the second year in a row for student satisfaction and overall student experience. It beat The University of Cambridge, having previously beaten The University of Oxford.
The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021 collates profiles on 135 university rankings and publishes data from the previous two months.
