In an email sent this evening, students currently residing in John Burnett Hall, St Regulus Hall, and McIntosh Hall have been asked to move out of their rooms and relocate to Agnes Blackadder Hall.
In her email Sarah Pay, the Operations Manager, wrote that due to the Scottish Government’s measures to control the spread of Coronavirus, the University has “no option” but to operate with a fewer number of residences open.
Standard accommodation that has comparatively low student numbers will therefore close, and the remaining students will be moved to en-suite accommodation in Agnes Blackadder Hall.
En-suite accommodation supports social distancing and self-isolation, if it is required.
Students staying in John Burnett Hall, St Regulus Hall, and McIntosh Hall that cannot return home have been to reply to sjm17@ with their name, current hall, and room number. They will then be allocated a room in ABH.
The University can supply some boxes and will pay for one taxi journey from your current hall to ABH. Moves should be completed by 10am on Wednesday 25 March.
As such, from Monday 30th March onwards, the University shall only be providing food services to catered and non-catered students who stay in the following Halls of Residence.
