Dan Marshall has been elected as Association President in the Students’ Association Elections 2020.
Moments ago, it was announced that Mr Marshall defeated his three other opponents by the Single Transferable Voting System (STV). Mr Marshall won the election with 1,156 votes in the third round, 228 more votes than Ewan McCall. Thomas Rowell was first to be eliminated, followed by Tom Overend.
Mr Marshall’s victory follows an intense week of campaigning by all four Association President candidates. Speaking to Mr Marshall he said, “I am feeling ecstatic and very relieved, it has been a very long week. It has been fantastic to campaign with the other candidates and I have been really pleased with how positive the campaign has been.”
This is a breaking story, more information will follow.
