Saints Hockey head coach receives national award

Hockey Club head coach Jamie Carnegie's work has been nationally recognised

The University of St Andrews Hockey Club has enjoyed a lot of success both on and off the field in the last couple of years, including promotions, cup runs, and the constant staving-off of relegation in a variety of BUCS leagues, as well as receiving Saints Sport’s Club of the Year award last year.

Now they have another award to display in their burgeoning trophy cabinet, with Club Head Coach Jamie Carnegie being voted Scottish Hockey’s Coach of the Year for the sterling work he has done with the Men’s and Women’s First Teams.

With a cup quarter-final awaiting the Men’s First Team in March, there is widespread hope that Carnegie’s expertise and drive can give the team the edge they need to overcome their fierce rivals across the Forth in Edinburgh.
