Tuesday 12th October saw a massive turnout to the Saints Hall Sport Dodgeball event with Regs and Melville winning the Women’s and Men’s events respectively.

A huge number of halls were represented in what was the largest hall sport event of the year so far.

“It was awesome,” said organisers Leon O’Rourke & Bertie Welch. “The competition was great and it sets us up really well for a busy hall sport season”.

The Saints Hall Sport program was founded in 2009 with the objective of driving participation in sport by giving more students the opportunity to try something new.

A total of 10 teams played in 23 dodgeball matches; with New Hall, Uni Hall, Regs and Melville reaching the knockout stages and New Hall facing both Melville and Regs in the Men’s & Women’s respective finals.

“The atmosphere was amazing” said Uni Hall competitor Jamie Dick, “the crowd were really behind us and the event was really well organised.”
